On the binomial confidence interval and probabilistic robust control

The Clopper-Pearson confidence interval has ever been documented as an exact approach in some statistics literature. More recently, such approach of interval estimation has been introduced to probabilistic control theory and has been referred as non-conservative in control community. In this note, we clarify the fact that the so-called exact approach is actually conservative. In particular, we derive analytic results demonstrating the extent of conservatism in the context of probabilistic robustness analysis. This investigation encourages seeking better methods of confidence interval construction for robust control purpose.     

Pedestrian detection and tracking at crossroads

This paper presents a system that can perform pedestrian detection and tracking using vision-based techniques. A very important issue in the field of intelligent transportation system is to prevent pedestrians from being hit by vehicles. Recently, a great number of vision-based techniques have been proposed for this purpose. In this paper, we propose a vision-based method, which combines the use of a pedestrian model as well as the walking rhythm of pedestrians to detect and track walking pedestrians. Through integrating some spatial and temporal information grabbed by a vision system, we are able to develop a reliable system that can be used to prevent traffic accidents happened at crossroads. In addition, the proposed system can deal with the occlusion problem. Experimental results obtained by executing some real world cases have demonstrated that the proposed system is indeed superb.     

Sol-Gel Preparation of LaNiO3 and Its Physical and Chemical Properties

LaNiO3 was synthesized by sol-gel method in which lanthanum nitrate and nickel nitrate were used as start materials and citric acid was used as complex for gel formation.The precursor was dried and subsequently heated at elevated temperature to form the desired product.XRD analysis shows that pure LaNiO3 was synthesized.Electrical conductivity and electrochemical performance of the material were tested.The electrical conductivity decreases from 34.5that there are current peaks in the curve, which is the evidence of the electrochemical activity of LaNiO3.

结合东同矿业公司井下原地溶浸的试验研究情况,分析了细菌浸出-萃取-电积工艺过程中存在的问题并提出了解决方法,探讨了该工艺应用研究的发展方向与前景。     

The transient to steady-state transition during the spray-rolling process

From the geometrical standpoint, this article presents a qualitative theoretical analysis and prediction of the transient to steady-state transition during the spray-rolling process, a novel manufacturing technique for aluminum strips. The analytical results indicate that, when the deposited materials at the specific points on one roll surface overlap their counterparts on the other roll surface, spray rolling transits from the transient state to the steady state. The specific points are the limiting deposition positions of the atomized droplets on the roll surface initially.     

红外碳硫仪中绘图软件及其应用

介绍了LECO CS-444红外碳硫仪微机操作系统中绘图软件,分析了不正常碳(硫)释放曲线产生原因并制定了解决办法,举例说明碳(硫)含量平均值控制图、碳(硫)含量值控制图的使用方法.     

技术攻关提高成材率

介绍了广钢集团高速线材生产线的生产和工艺概况，分析了成材率的影响因素，阐述了技术攻关提高成材率所采取的措施和取得的良好效果及经济效益。     

磷矿中七种金属元素的光谱法测定

研究了磷矿样品中7种金属元素锰、钴、镍，锌、铬、钼及铋的分析方法，选择了灵敏度高干扰少的谱线，绘制出工作曲线，对样品进行了科学处理，不必进行化学分离即可对七种元素同时测定，经合成样分析、回收实验及样品测定，证明此方法精确可靠，其回收率在98％-102％之间。
